War and Peace
The Undercroft Gallery
3-25 July 2015
“A generation which ignores history has no past:and no future”. Lasers Long from the works of Robert Heinlein.
Between 2014 and 2015 the world celebrates both the 100th and the 70th anniversaries of the end of the two major conflicts of the 20th Century.
Gennadiy Ivanov “I would like to organize and exhibition which will be dedicated to those who died in these events, including my Grandfather who died in the Russian-Japanese War.
With a group of Artist friends I would like to convey, with this exhibition, a reminder of these terrible wars which destroyed the lives of millions of people and decimated many beautiful cities.
Unfortunately, wars continue to destroy the lives of people all over this planet. Our World is very fragile; we must not allow the emergence of a new global conflict, which could be the last for us. This Exhibition should serve as a reminder to all of us, from every generation, of the fragility of our beautiful world. In the words of John Lennon, to “Give Peace a chance.”
